Reno Proms -"Making Prom Just Right"
At Reno DJs We Understand That Your
Prom Night Needs To Be
Extra Special. We have given you a list to help you plan make your evening
even more enchanted.
Eat Something. This is so important, even leading right up to
the prom. A lot of girls and guys decide to take those crash diets and end
up passing out right on the dance floor. If you are planning on taking any
kind of last minute diet, be sure to consult your doctor or a dietitian.
At the prom if you feel your blood sugar starting to crash and your stomach's
rolling, your not going to have as much fun as you wish. You have to eat
something; consider something with lots of protein (fish, chicken, or tofu) and
get some vegetables on your plate, this should give you the energy you need to
keep up on the dance floor.
Don't be afraid. Get yourself out on the
dance floor, stop waiting for that one particular song. It's your prom
night and you don't want to look back wondering why you waited till the last
minute to hit the dance floor.
When Reno Disc Jockeys
spins that first song, get your date and roll out to the dance floor. It's
your prom so get out and dance.
Take Lots Of Pictures. Besides having the
professional pictures taken of you with your date at the prom, how bout pictures
of you and your friends dancing at the prom. Bring a disposable camera or
small digital camera. (Avoid a large bulky professional camera, it just gets in
the way and is at risk of being stolen). If you don't have a camera, ask
one of the Disc Jockeys to take a digital picture or two, Reno Disc Jockeys are
more than happy to send it out to you or make it available online. Action
shots on the dance floor and behind the scenes are just as important as your
prom portrait, so be sure to take lots of pictures at the prom.
Don't Drink. Ok, yes, do drink lot's of
water, this is important, but don't drink alcohol. You may be thinking
it's ok to drink a little on your prom night, but that is far from true.
Let's look at the low risks, you are already a jittered & excited about going to
the prom, adding alcohol makes you even more clumsy, silly and just plain
obnoxious. It's not funny, it's dangerous. But then there's high
risks and all of the staff at Reno Disc Jockeys would like to give you some
advise; we've never herd of someone drinking at the prom and have a great
time, at least one they'd like to remember. We have done thousands of
events and a great deal of them that have had alcohol, many young adults have
been seriously injured and killed. Your prom night is suppose to be the
night of your dreams, so don't make it a tragic nightmare. Most
importantly if you or any of your friends drink any type of alcohol, please do
not drink and drive. Let one of our staff members know and we can make
arrangements to get you home safely, it's not worth the risk. One of our
close friends was killed by a drunk driver and Reno Disc Jockeys will do
anything to prevent a tragedy like that from happening again. For
additional information about drinking in general visit
Students Against Drunk
Driving.
Keeping it Close. It's your prom night,
you may even have an enchanted kiss from that special person. That is
something extra special, almost like time just freezes for that one special
moment. But let us remind you, keep it simple, it's something your will
always remember. Don't ruin it by sucking someone's face down on the dance
floor on prom night, it's pretty disgusting to see and odds are the DJs will
probably pick on you about it. After the prom don't let things go to far
or get out of hand, be responsible and think about your future. Plan ahead
and avoid uncomfortable situations that could get you in a lot of trouble for a
long time.
Make it a Good Night. Sometimes we don't
always get along with everyone and that is understandable. It's your
Prom Night, this is an
important event and it's a good time to make up with old friends and to just
avoid the enemies. Although it is rare, fighting has been known to happen
from time to time after a prom. If you feel you might be candidate for
something like this, then you might be just be better off staying home and
avoiding prom all together. If someone does something that makes you want
to just go wild, STOP, think and let it go, it's really not worth it; go enjoy
your prom. If you see someone or have a friend who is starting some type
of argument, try to intervene or notify a staff member, that saves the prom for
everyone.
Be Positive. Go around the room, talk to
friends, acquaintances and make new friends. Give compliments about how
everyone looks. This will be returned making you feel even better about
yourself and in tale will have an even better time at the prom. Keep your
eyes open for wallflowers, you know what it's like, going out on the dance floor
for the first time is hard, but once you are out there it's all ok. If
someone is on the sidelines, bring them in with an open hand and a smile.
Get out and Dance. This is the last BIG
party of the school year, go crazy! It's time to celebrate and dance
around with your friends, you have know idea if you will ever be together like
this again.
Talk to you Disc Jockeys. Reno Disc Jockeys want
to hear from you, talking with you makes it possible to customize your prom to
your classes needs, and that's how we make things perfect.
