Matthew Allen Strong began his DJ career in the fall of 1993, as a teenager. By age 18 he had become an experienced events coordinator for Calaveras County where he organized events, assemblies and field trips for "at risk" youth. Throughout the 90's, Matt actively honed his DJ skills by performing for school, corporate and private party events. By 2000 he not only became a sought after DJ, he also became a respected wedding events coordinator dealing with all aspects of pre-event planning, time management, photography, videography, floral design and placement. Throughout this time he specialized in custom-tailoring each event to the specific needs of the customer.

Matt created Matthew Allen Weddings & Events; a full time inclusion is a culmination of event planning, coordination, Disc Jockey and Master of Ceremony involvement that has gained strong affirmation from satisfied customers for more than 15 years. In addition to his day-to-day activities with his full-time company, Matt has remained very active as a leader within the disc jockey and wedding industries. He currently serves as the President of the Reno / Lake Tahoe Chapter of The American Disc Jockey Association.

He is a student of advanced level training in both industries and actively participates in numerous trade conferences throughout the year. He is a graduate of the Marbecca Method Workshops, presents seminars for DJ on methods to improve their customer service qualities and also writes articles for several wedding publications. Matt is also an active member of Toastmasters International.

Jared Newland is an award winning DJ with Matthew Allen Weddings and Events. For nearly a decade clients and guests alike all agree that Jared is nothing less than incredible. He is extremely creative and passionate about his clients needs. Jared has entertained at many high end weddings including a Disneyland Fairytale Wedding.

Jared is a graduate of the Marbecca workshops and an active supporter of improving the overall wedding entertainment industry.

Often times his attention to detail exceeds the normal limits of an ordinary service provider leading your guests to believe that he is part of the wedding party. His outgoing personality is warm and inviting. Jared works as a genuine host attending to all your needs. You will not find a better example of customer service anywhere.

Jared currently serves as the Director of Membership for the Reno Tahoe Chapter of the American Disc Jockey association and is also the Vice President of Education with our local Toastmasters group.
